Chris Barrett has performed annually at the
Foundation for many years. His lively musical performances are a highlight
of the Holiday season at the Foundation.
Mr. Barrett has performed in premier hotels and clubs throughout the
United States and abroad. In New York, he has appeared in such prestigious
venues as The Carlyle, The Pierre and The Stanhope Hotels, and in such
notable cabarets as Judy's Chelsea, Danny's Skylight Room, Dillon's and
the famed Maxim's and FireBird Café. |

Chris Barrett made his national symphony debut in 2002 as
guest artist with The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and he was
commissioned by The Smithsonian Institution to perform his Salute to Cole
Porter to celebrate the composer's centennial.
Mr. Barrett has appeared in command performances for HRH Prince Phillip
and for private engagements with Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald
Reagan, along with participating in the inauguration festivities for
President George Bush.
He is best known for his repertoire of songs by Cole Porter, Noel Coward
and of the musical theater. Variety reported, ". . . he has an extensive
knowledge of musicals . . . his catalog is virtually inexhaustible."
Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote, "Barrett possesses a polished
lyric baritone . . . singing with impeccable diction and pitch."
"Barrett goes from stage whisper to belting, effortlessly and
effectively," says Variety.
