This exhibit displayed the process that Jasper F. Cropsey
used to
create a finished oil painting. The exhibit showed sketches and drawings done on site by
the artist and continued with larger finished drawings, watercolor and oil sketches, and
finally the finished oil paintings. The meticulous nature and preparatory work involved in
Cropsey's creation was the highlight of the exhibit as it gave insight into the artist's
creative processes. |
