tour information

Full-time staff conducts all tours at the foundation. Groups are not allowed to use their own tour guides nor are self-guided tours permitted. Tour groups are limited to 15 persons per tour, but special arrangements can be made to handle larger groups. All tours are free of charge and donations are not accepted. Reservations are needed to schedule tours - we request scheduling at least one week in advance. Tours can be arranged by calling 914-478-7990 or via email.

The Gallery of Art is closed for tours in January and August each year. In addition, Ever Rest is closed for tours during the months of December, January, and August.

 Tours are conducted weekdays only. The foundation is closed on federal holidays. Tours of Ever Rest are conducted by appointment between 10am and 1pm. Tours of the Gallery of Art are by appointment between 1pm and 5pm. Each tour takes approximately 45 - 60 minutes. The Gallery of Art property is open for viewing of the gardens and architecture weekdays from 1pm - 5pm with no appointment necessary.

Ever Rest (49 Washington Avenue): Saw Mill River Parkway: Exit 12 (Farragut Parkway exit) - continue on Farrugut to the stop sign in front of the Hastings on Hudson school. Make a left onto Olinda Avenue. At the end of Olinda make a left onto Broadway. Take the first right, Washington Avenue and proceed down the hill until you reach Ever Rest, 49 Washington Avenue, on the right side of the road. Cars may pull right into the circular driveway, bearing right and pulling up under the pergola at the front of the house.

Gallery of Art (25 Cropsey Lane): Saw Mill River Parkway: Exit 12 (Farragut Parkway exit) - continue on Farrugut to the stop sign in front of the Hastings on Hudson school. Make a left onto Olinda Avenue. At the end of Olinda make a left onto Broadway. Take the first right, Washington Avenue and proceed down the hill until you can't go any further, and make a right at the stop sign onto Southside Avenue. Proceed down Southside until you reach the commuter lot on the right, Cropsey Lane is the main road through the lot - make a right onto Cropsey and proceed until you reach the gatehouse for the foundation.
